  • 1997 - 2002: Accession Technologies, LTD - ATL
    Managed P&L responsibilities, daily operations as well as leading the company to steady growth.
    Originally a computer consulting ‘job shop’, ATL evolved into a B2Be consulting firm as market conditions demanded.
    Directly engaged in strategic planning, marketing, sales, account penetration, public speaking, employee development, P&L and corporate analysis.
    Presented seminars of various I.T. technologies and application development strategies on a national basis.
    Managed several large –scale projects for Fortune 500 companies such as: GATX, Johnson & Johnson, Hub Group & Akzo Nobel with teams of up to 30 consultants.
    Established outsourcing relationships with developers in India which dramatically reduced costs and quickened development timeline efficiencies.
    Defined and created a large scale e-Commerce interface product which interfaces with existing ‘back-office’ systems by integrating internet and EDI technologies.
    Responsible for managing I.T. Services Management process model, service level agreements and performance measures, technical and help desk.
    Worked with the following types of systems: ERP, CRM, worldwide networks, insurance, financial, manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
    IBM Business Partner for AS/400’s and Networking.

  • 1993 - 1997: Diamond Consulting, Inc
    IBM Business Partner specializing in AS/400’s.
    Provided application and technical support to augment existing I.T. staff at medium to large companies in the Chicago metro area.
    Responsible for sales, planning, managing, directing, coordinating and controlling the overall operation of the firm.
    Gave seminars of various I.T. technologies and application development strategies in the Chicago metro organization and occasionally on a national basis.
    Primarily a computer consulting ‘job shop’ using a mix of employees and independent contractors with an average of 25 employees.
  • 1992 - 1993: Midwest Indemnity
    Managed underwriters, I.T. and sales support staff and prepared the company for the sale of the organization by dramatically reducing expenses and staff. Was brought on specifically for this task and used the exit bonus to fund Diamond Consulting.
    Managed a staff of 83 employees with 4 - 6 direct reports.
    Responsible for daily operations management.
    Created an environment of continuous cost reduction and improvement, and extended the process through all levels of the work force.
  • 1989 - 1992: Allied American Insurance
    Started as a contract programmer and became CIO.
    Performed strategic planning enabling the rapid expansion experienced by the firm when auto insurance became mandatory in Illinois.
    AS/400 and PC networking infrastructure.
    Budgetary responsibilities, approximately $3 million.
    Managed a staff of 12 – 15 plus consultants which varied in number from 1 – 10 contractors.
