Dean A. Billman

For me, retirement planning means more than providing my clients with investment advice. It means helping them maintain the financial independence they’ve worked their whole lives to achieve. It means striving to ensure they have the means to pursue what’s most important to them. And it means understanding them as people with unique goals, values and circumstances that determine the strategies I develop on their behalf.

My consultative process begins with an in-depth discussion of your current finances and future objectives. We’ll address issues you might have overlooked that can have a significant impact on your ability to retire as planned. Finally, we’ll determine how we can help you adjust your investment strategy as necessary to accommodate changing conditions and meet any unforeseen expenses and income demands that may arise during retirement.

“Be Thankful” Michael Wilson, chief investment officer of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and Morgan Stanley & Co., says we are still “firmly entrenched” in a classic late-cycle economy and bull market, but the high returns we experienced this year are unlikely to be repeated in 2018.

Ringing in Year 10 of the US Economic Expansion Midway through next year, the US will celebrate its 10th year of economic expansion, notes Ellen Zentner, chief US economist for Morgan Stanley & Co. Though unemployment is low and interest rates are rising, a lack of overheating in critical sectors such as housing suggests the economy has room to run.

    • Global Equities Move Into Thin Air New 12-month forecasts for global equity markets imply only modest single-digits gains, according to Morgan Stanley & Co. equity strategists. That’s because earnings growth is likely to slow and price/earnings ratios will probably undergo compression.
