John Ayers, CFP CIMA, Financial Advisor, Vice President at Morgan Stanley:
Comprehensive wealth management; a personal commitment
When choosing a wealth manager, it’s important to understand his or her principles and beliefs. Here are mine:
I believe that good relationships between client and advisor are based on shared values and candid, free-flowing conversations.
The best way to serve my clients is to take the time to understand their goals, helping them to identify and articulate specific and attainable targets. I also want to learn about your risk tolerance, personal style and any other concerns you may have.
When it comes to investments, I believe that success depends on discipline and proven tactics, not on chasing profits or short-term strategies.
Finally, my clients are entitled to the very best solutions I can provide. To this end, I often combine my own skills and experience with those of colleagues and outside resources, giving my clients a breadth of intellectual capital.
I have spent more than a decade delivering this kind of wisdom and meticulous service to privately owned businesses and successful individuals. Perhaps that’s why, for the past three years, I have been named one of Rhode Island’s Five Star Wealth Managers, a distinction earned by only 3% of all financial advisors.*

Over 32,000 high net worth residents were surveyed (along with 3,750 financial services professionals) and asked to evaluate wealth managers they knew. In addition to survey results, wealth advisors evaluation criteria included: a minimum of five years’ financial services experience, acceptable compliance records, and evaluation results by a panel of local industry experts are incorporated into the overall evaluation process. The final list identifies the wealth managers, of those evaluated, in the local market that score highest in client satisfaction.
